Completing his Master of Counselling and holding a background in psychology, Phil supports adolescents and adults with care, empathy, and a grounded, trauma-informed approach.

Phil understands that life can feel incredibly heavy at times—especially when you're overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or unsure of how to move forward. Whether you're navigating everyday struggles, going through a period of uncertainty, or carrying the deeper weight of stress or past trauma, you don’t have to face it alone. Phil offers a calm, supportive presence and walks alongside you with genuine care, empathy, and understanding—creating a space where you can feel safe, heard, and gently supported toward healing and clarity.

How Phil Can Support You:

  • Individual Counselling – Thoughtful, person-centred support for adolescents and adults navigating stress, anxiety, low mood, trauma, grief or life transitions.

  • Clinical Debriefing – A safe, understanding space for emergency services, healthcare, and community workers to talk through tough experiences, reduce burnout, and strengthen resilience.

  • Supervision & Reflective Practice – Encouraging support to help make sense of complex situations, manage stress, and build resilience

  • Crisis Support & Emotional Regulation – Evidence-based strategies to manage overwhelming emotions, cope with trauma exposure, and restore balance

Phil’s many years in crisis response mean he truly gets what it’s like to carry heavy emotional loads. His counselling style is:

  • Warm, welcoming, and non-judgemental

  • Collaborative and down-to-earth

  • Rooted in strengths-based, person-centred care

  • Informed by evidence based practical skills
